Innovation Capabilities Program
The ICP program aims to enable small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Uzbekistan to develop new or improved products, services and processes that will enable them to enter domestic, regional and global markets for the following purposes: Facilitating the process of innovative modernization of the private sector ; Provide financial assistance and support for the implementation of measures consistent with the long-term SME reform strategy; Improve the efficiency, effectiveness and overall productivity of the private sector; Raise the visibility of SMEs nationally and internationally.
The main conditions of the ICP program are: The grant amount is US$50,000 per project; Project implementation – up to 12 months on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Co-financing is mandatory, at least 100% of the grant amount (the source of co-financing can be an industrial partner, a financial partner or own funds). By industry: Agri-food technologies; Medicine and medical technologies; New materials and chemical technologies; Mining and metallurgical industry; Biotechnology and pharmaceuticals; Mechanical engineering and automotive industry.
Proposals selection. Proposals must be submitted in 1) English and 2) Uzbek or Russian optionally. The selection process includes submission of proposals, initial evaluation check, scientific, technical and technological readiness evaluation by the Expert Council, final evaluation proposals by the Grant Commission (GC) and signing of protocol of winners by the GC, that lead to the signing of Grant Agreement.
The grant recipient must be a legal entity with the status of small and medium enterprise registered in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Public Research Institutes Modernization
The PRIM program is aimed at facilitating the strategic vision and approach to the development and implementation of the institutional modernization plans of public research institutes in Uzbekistan.
The PRIM program pursues the following objectives:
- Facilitate the process of institutional modernization of public research institutes (PRIs).
- Provide financial assistance and support for the implementation of measures consistent with the long-term reform strategy of the PRI.
- Promote the efficiency, effectiveness and overall productivity of public research institutes.
- Provide support that meets the needs of the PRI in priority areas such as capacity building, strategic planning and management, knowledge sharing, research-industry collaboration, and community engagement and interaction.
- Enhance the PRI's national and international visibility.
PRIM Grant Program serves as a catalyst for the ongoing process of the strategic modernization of public research organizations in Uzbekistan. Resources of the PRIM can serve as a complementary leverage tool in achieving important objectives and tasks in research-based programs of PRIs.
