On August 14 of this year, at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, at the initiative of the Innovation Development Agency, the modernization of public research institutions within the framework of the World Bank project "Modernization of the National Innovation System of Uzbekistan" (MUNIS) "Public Research Institutes Modernization Program" An extended meeting was held in order to launch the (PRIM) competitive grant program, to actively involve representatives of the scientific community in the program, as well as to discuss current issues within the program.
Heads and representatives of all research institutions of our republic participated in the event held by the "MUNIS" project implementation group.
The event was opened by the Director of the Innovative Development Agency Sharof Rajabbayev and the Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shakhlo Turdikulova. World Bank as main speakers
Yeraly Beksultan, regional representative for Central Asia, Orifjon Nomozov, an international expert of the PRIM grant program, and consultants of the PRIM grant program presented their reports.
During the event, general information was given about the purpose and content of the PRIM program, its components, as well as issues such as submission of applications, the procedure for their review, and the conditions and requirements of the grant were discussed.
